Apples of Gold – An Alternate Cover for 1872

Here is a image of a rare alternate cover for the first volume of Apples of Gold. I was able to composited it with the black and white printed issue to give it a bit more detail. Apples of Gold was a weekly publication of the American Tract Society from 1872-1819.

Apples of Gold

“Apples of Gold” was a publication of the American Tract Society. It began in 1872 and was still being advertised as late as October, 1916 in the American Messenger magazine. It was a four page periodical publication published each week for young children.

The first annual of 1872 has been scanned and will be available soon.
